An individual buys a property which has a residential unit on it and a holiday unit on it (with planning restriction). It is marketed as one property and he makes an offer for the whole. However to secure the finance he needs to split the title between the residential and holiday parts. The price paid is split between the two parts based on commercial valuations. Is this a linked transaction (I think it clearly is). Any other thoughts?
